hi there Argonaut, stick with it the lads on here may come up with a solution that you can work with, I too am a disabled shooter,I have MS and move around in a electric powerchair there are times when I can not hold or point my camera it is a Canon 20D a little out of your price range ( but maybe second hand ) the point is I operate most of my controls including shutter ( but not zoom or focus ) with my laptop which can easily be operated with sip and puff.
