Default Another "I need help buying a camera post"

I researching buying my first digital camera. I have use 35mm SLR's for nearly 30 years and want to get a digital to use that would be small enough to carry in a belt pack or pocket. I'm torn at this point on how much camera I will be happy with. I would prefer to spend less than $400. At this point the Canon A70 looks like a winner. I've also looked at higer priced models like the Fuji S602 for the features and zoom. I'm leaning toward the A70 for price reasons and figured I may replace it in 2 or 3 years anyway. What do think? The A70 or ?????

I think that you'll probably be happy with the a70 since it has a manual mode and can take add-on lenses. Go for it.
