Default Another newbie needs a recommendation (sorry!)

Hello to all!
I'm in the market for a digital camera (my first) and need some help deciding. I've been doing a LOT of online research, but still can't figure out which one would be the best choice for the money I can spend. I'm looking for (assuming I can afford it):
- about 4MP
- at least 3x optical zoom
- wide ISO range
- good flash
- good autofocus and autoexposure, but some manual settings
- able to take good, sharp pics up to 8 x 10 inch size
- I'll be using my HP PSC 2210 printer, which has slots for most memory card types
- not too big or heavy (would like to put it in a fanny pack)
- wouldn't mind the ability to later add lenses/filters
- high reliability and good customer support
- about $400 (but willing to consider $500 if it'll make a magnitude of difference)
As an example, I've been considering the Minolta F100, Olympus C-4000, Canon S40, Nikon 2500, etc. Please feel free to suggest others!
Thanks to all! (I hope!)

The Olympus C4000 appears to match all of your reuirements. 4mp, 3X optical zoom, super macro mode, auto and manual settings. You can find it on line for under $400 go to www.dealtime.com for pricing and buyer ratings.
