Hi,
I've been playing around with my Nikon 4500, recommended for my usage on this forum (thanks) and whilst I'm still getting to grips with it, I'd like to know why when I take a picture and subsequently view it in the lcd, it starts off quite blurry (like it's out of focus) and then a small time later'focuses' automatically to a nice sharp picture. What's that about? Thanks, S. :O |

It is the file loading for the display. Depending on your system and the size of the file it can take some time.

The "blurry" one is a low-resolution version. After a second or so, it loads the full resolution file. The reason it does this, is if you have a bunch of photos on your card that you want to scroll through, it will scroll much faster because it only has to load low res files. If it loaded the full res files first, it would take 20 seconds to flip through just a few files (for example).
Some of the newer cameras havemuch faster data throughput, and are able to load the full res photos instantly, so there is no waiting. Progress! |
