Just thought we could compile a list of the best cameras for 200 dollars.

Canon Powershot A520, about $175 online at Walmart.
Has the usual Canon quality 4mp sensor, 4x zoom, manual controls if you feel like experimenting and learning, and takes AA rechargeable batteries. Also budget for some NIMH rechargeables (get MAH 2100's) and a reasonable sized 256mb or 512mb SD memory card -- Terry |

I've done just that - $200 or under:
http://www.airshowfan.com/guide-to-d...igital-cameras The Canon A520 is definitely near the top of the list. So is the Panasonic LZ2 (5MP, 6X zoom with IS, $200 on Amazon). Other are the Olympus C-740, Sony P73, Canon A95, Fuji S5000 and E510, Panasonic FZ1, and Casio S100 - all are available on Amazon and eBay for under $200, and are good cameras. Around $150, we have the Canon A510, Sony S40, Fuji E500 and S3000, the Nikon 4600, and a bunch of Kodaks like the C 330, C 340, and CX 7430. Many of these are refurbished prices, but I think that's OK, right? |

With a little more cash to spare, the Canon A610 or A620 are probably more value for the money.
