Default best indoor flash on low end digicam?

Hi, gang. I own a Nikon 990 and a Pentax Optio 330 (excellent pocket camera), but am now looking for a low-end digicam that is really easy to use and will do decent indoor portrait and macro shots (like, good exposure results and minimal red-eye).

This is for an orthodontist office - they take before-and-after headshots and also closeups of teeth (just the whole-mouth close-up, so the macro on most any camera will do if the flash exposure is right).

Any prints will be fairly small, so 2 Mpixel would be fine. Compact flash media would be a plus, but not a requirement.

Thanks for your ideas!
