Best way to clean the lens?

Upon loaning my Canon A70 to my friend, I found there is a fingerprint on the lens. Of course I am pretty mad about that right now. Besides taking it to the professional, what is the other best way to clean the lens? TYIA.

Kodak lens cleaning paper

A soft, lintless paper specially prepared for cleaning lenses, filters, and other highly polished glass surfaces.
Safe for coated lenses too.

50 sheets for $2.50 at Wolf/Ritz

In the instructions on the back, it tells you to add a drop of lens cleaning solution for fingerprints, but it's not really necessary.

As a general rule, I use Hanes. However, I use Fruit of the Loom sometimes, too (it depends on which T-shirt happens to be on top in the dresser drawer, after my wife does laundry).

Seriously.

I've never had a problem with using a cotton t-shirt yet. They're soft cotton (but I avoid paper towels, which can scratch a lens).

I've done the same thing with eyeglasses for many years, and it's never hurt them that I've been able to tell.

Maybe it's not the "recommended solution", but it's always worked fine for me.

Of course, you can get specialized cleaners like the LensPen:

Got myself a LensPen cleaner at Ritz Camera for $7.99.
Works like a charm!! :D
Thanks for suggestion.
