Default black & white photos? Help?

Ok I want to make pictures from my digital camera in black & white , but I want to be able to edit certain parts of the pic back to color, is this possible? Will it take a certain program? Can anyone help?

It depends on whether you mean to paint them colours (just tint over the B&W), or have the actual colours from the scene...in that case you have to start with a colour picture, copy it, and paste it on top converting the top layer into b&W. You can cut away at the B&W layer so that the colour layer below shows through only the areas you want in colour.
