Default Bulk Photo Scanning

Anyone use ScanMyPhotos.com ?

Looking for feedback on bulk photo scanning for about two shoeboxes of standard pictures that I need digitized immediately. Looking for fast and super-inexpensive service. But, wanted to khow how this place was first.

David Pogue wrote about the company, but looking for anyone who recently used them.

Default Another option

I'm using Scan Cafe, they scan photos at twice the resolution 600 dpi vs 300, offer color correction, scratch removal and eliminate red-eye but they are more expensive at 29 cents per print.

Whatever contract the job out. I took on the job of scanning all my fathers film prints that he trook from 1968 - 1996. I had to scan about 2,500 and it took me two years to get the job done. I scanned them all at 600dpi with an HP scanner but it sure took a long time to get them each scanned and then burned to CDs. Didn't color correct them, all he wanted was for them to be scanned so he could get at them and color correct them himself as he recently retired when I started the project for him in 2006. Forward to 2009 and the dcans are finally done. It takes a lot longer than one would think to scan a 1,000 photos.
