I'm planning an extened vacation and want to take my laptop and camera to store and look at the pictures I take. I also want to burn them onto a CD just to make sure if something goes screwy with the computer I'll still have the photos. Does anybody have any tips as to the best brands of blank CD's? Any tips they'd be willing to share?

Any good major brand will work for you - Maxell, TDK, Imation, etc.
They will last you between 5 and 10 years according to several recent articles. Stay away from CD-RW (RW= read/write) not all readers can playback CD-RW fomatted discs. Typical cost for CD-R is in the area of $.28-$.38 each. Good shooting |
