Has anyone bought a camera from Amazon.com with the protection plan it has? Is that protection plan good? Thanks.

All products, if new, are covered by the manufacturers warranty. Addon protection plans are pure profit for those that sell them, which is why they push them so hard. Personally, I never buy them. Just make sure that the camera is not grey market (no US warranty).
