Default Camedia D-100 error - help this newbie!!

Hi, I just have a little point n' click Camedia, but I have been making excellent use of it. However, I have been getting an error message when I open the shutter .. D: E101 ...and I can't make it go away. Camedia Tech Man said that it was just because I disconnected from my USB port unexpectedly, but I know I didn't. He said to leave the batteries out for 24 hours, and I did, to no effect. I have also replaced the batteries. I can access the reg. menu feature but cannot take pictures because opening the shutter just gives me a bluescreen with that error message. Can anyone help??
Much appreciated! Amy

You may need to flash the firmware, if that is even possible, however I would go into a local store and borrow the memory type you use to see if it is memory card related.

There may also be a reset all in menus and if so, try that.

Good luck and give a shout out if you need more help.
