I'll be getting my camera this week. Has anyone used this item, and what are your thoughts on it. Will it interfere with LCD protectors like da'protector or an lcd shade?
Thanks Rich |

Yo Rich,
Body armor for DSLR's protects the cameras primarily from small bumps, scratches, and dings. It can also give your hands a better grip on the camera, and makes the camera look pretty trick. If you bounce it on the sidewalkit's still consideredthe 'concrete kiss of death' because the armor won't buffer that kind of a jolt. Hoodman devices won't allow the armor to fit correctly, since the armor is an exact mold of the body. Forcing the armor over the screen protector may inhibit the use of buttons on the camera (due to the gap between rubber and button). I'd suggest a cheap, simple fix: get the adhesive no-mess LCD covers. They are basically a clear plastic covering that sticks to the LCD. You can take a look at the armor here: http://porters.com/Merchant2/merchan...;Category_Code= Best regards, -An-D |
