I am left handed, but not by choice
![]() I have only a thumb on my right handed and ergonomic cameras are always a challenge to use. Are there any current models that have a second shutter release or have the ability for a second release? I realise that I can turn the camera over to get te shutter over on the left side, but then I have to flip all my images on the computer. Any suggestions to cameras or other tricks for a lefty would be appreciated. |

Seems like there was one with a second shutter release. You could also rig a bracket with a cable release, but that would make the camera more bulky.
There are lots of programs that will batch flip the photos for you--some of them free. It's an extra step, but it can be done quickly without much effort on your part. 90 degree and 180 degree JPEG rotation can be done without loss. These folks will let you vote on which left-handed camera they produce next: http://www.lefthandedcamera.com/ |
