No camera can beat Nikon Coolpix 4500 in the given price range. Its magnification is about 0.5X. More precisely, at its minimum focus distance 2cm, the length of a subject on the image is approximately half of the length of the real thing. For example, a 10mm subject would appear as a 5mm image. Keep in mind that in macro photography, minimum focusing distance means nothing. Only magnification counts. Some lenses can produce the same magnification with a longer minimum focusing distance, making lighting, composition, etc easier. Moreover, the 4500 has the most third-party support. For example, with a Raynox MSN-500 macro lens, the 4500 can yield about 1.7X magnification (1mm appears as 1.7mm on the image).
