i have Nikon coolpix 3100, and i wonder if i can use it as a webcam, my friend has Sony camera( 5mpx) and he uses it as Webcam connecting thru the TV Tunner input, as for me i dont have it, but i have just video input in my video card, so am i able to use it as a webcam and what software do i need?:O:O

If you have the right drivers for your video card, you should be able to select the video-in as a video source in any webcam or video capture program.

I think it depends on the camera and the drivers you have. I would not think a digicam would work very well as a live web cam, but may work for taking pics in intervals and having software refresh them on a web site.

Most of them, including my Z10, work with the LCD display image giving you a ~qvga image. Just plug in thecamera andput it on record.
