Can you tell me why, for you personally, this camera wins over the others....
All the reviews I've read are very very good. 8x optical zoom and I've always liked the picture quality of the Nikons.

The mag I subscribe to are mean with their picture quality ratings but gives the Nikon 9/10.

I have been an Olympus fan for years but the Nikon 5700 comes closer to my next camera except it does not have IS (image stablization) for the ultra zoom lens.

Can I get the name of the Mfr and catalog name/number? I've seen the price lower elsewhere, but I'd be more comfortable going with somebody established.
