Canon S200 vs. Sony DSC-P51

Hi,

I'm trying to get a couple of point and shoot compact digicams for friends and family in the $200 range. I'm still very happy with my old S100 [gasp] and so have basically narrowed the field down to the S200 or the Sony DSC-P51 (which can be got for that price range).

On paper the reviews sound very similar between the two. The obvious advantage of the sony is its slightly cheaper and uses standard batteries (vs the canon lithium pack), but the canon uses normal cheap flash cards rather than memory sticks (approx. 2x the price of the same size flash cards).

Has anyone tried them both? Why would you choose one over the other? Would both work fine in the UK (NTSC/PAL issues?) ?

Thanks
Jonathan
