Hi,
I bought a brand new coolpix 4500 which is working fine. i installed the nikon view software on my Mac G4(9.2) and my win98SE OS machine. my USB port is also working fine forall devices. but as i attempt image transfer from camera to computer via usb, i get error saying no card or camera found. HOwever when turn my camera on, the lexar compact flash shows up as a disk on my desktop ( mac)... ? ANY SUGGESTIONS !!!!! :?: |

I don't know the Nikon 4500 file format but if you get the card on the desktop then you are home and dry.
Double click on the disk on the desktop, you may have to go through several layers, and you will get the image files. Create a folder on your hard disk then drag the files into the folder. Double click on any one file and you can see the image, probably as Quick Time. Once you are satisfied with the transfer drag the disk to the waste bin or switch off the camera. Disconnect the camera then erase all. A much simpler method is to get a Card Reader. They are fast and simple and don't need batteries. Have fun. Tink. :lol: |
