I need to know a few things:

1> What make CCD does Nikon Coolpix 5400 use?

2> Can I get detailed information about this chip anywhere on the net?

3> Is it possible to replace a 1/1.8 CCD with a 2/3?

I believe Nikon use CCDs manufactured by Sony--- as do Canon. If your camera has a 1/1.8 CCDit will most likely be a smallnon-dSLR camera which would not be physically large enough to accomodate a largerCCDotherwise thepocket-size digicam manufacturers would fit a larger one to eliminate thedisadvantage a smallCCD has compared to the full-size CCD in a dSLR (excessive noise at high ISO setting, for example). Small CCDs are used because it allows the manufacturer to make a small camera which many people prefer. The pros and advanced amateurs choose a dSLR to avoid this compromise.
