Default cheaper digi with interchangable lens

Went to look at the Nikon slr for interchangable lens and was floored by the prices. Any thoughts on cheaper systems or do the all charge two grand and up?

What lens are you wanting to add to a digital camera? Olympus, Nikon, and Cannon compact cameras can be adapted to have filters, teleconvter lens, wide angle lens, etc installed on the camera. If you are wanting the DSLR camera you will have to pay between $1500 and $2000 + up.

You mean a digital SLR under $2000?

Pentax may release a Dslr under $2000 next year.... is Sigma doing an $1800 dslr as well? Sorry, I'm still in the sub $1000 class of camera myself. With sensor sizes (like the 11mp canon and 14mp Kodak) going the way they are- I think I'll bide my time for a while longer on the Dslr thing. Maybe the 4/3 system or 6mp dslrs will be under $1500 in the next year or two.

I have an Olympus E-20n and really am impressed with the images I get. I also invested in the TCON-300s 300mm lens and have been very very happy. The E-20n goes for under $1,200 and the Tcon-300s is going for around $500 and I would not hesitate in printing 16x20" photos with that.

Check them out!
