Went out taking pictures of insects the other day and noticed with a 105 micro lens that I could not "fill the picture" with the smaller critters. I have bought some close up filters and they work well enough, but was wondering if the tubes or other options were things to consider. Obviously there is less depth of field and so on with the filters, but was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of the different options were. I use Nikon 35mm SLR camera gear.
