The S1 IS will work with any CF Type I or II flash card or Microdrive, it supports FAT32 so it can handle drives or cards larger than 2GB. However I do NOT recommend the 2.2GB Magicstor drive - too many problems have been reported. If you must use a Microdrive make it a proven-reliable IBM or Hitachi drive.

Just my two cents! The Hitachi Microdrives are an exceptional value. Just about twice the capacity for a comparable price. Below is a link to the Ritz website where with the 2GB at $279.99 w/ a $30.00 mail-in rebate.

The new gen Microdrives inlcude several improvements over the previous generations. The 5 years experience sets the Hitachi drives apart. I own a 2GB Hitachi Microdrive and love it!

Sorry, the first link was to 1GB at $199.95...
