I wonder if you can help, have you any tips on digital photography in concerts. I have a olympus c750 When i take pictures I put it on auto but unless they are standing still alot of the photos come out blurry. Would it be a good idea to put it on the sports mode. Any advice would be appreciated.

The first thing you want to do is get permission to take the photos. Generally, there is a strict prohibition on photography at concerts.

The answer to your technical question is to use a fast shutter speed. Since it may be dark in the concert venue, a fast shutter speed with a wide open lens may not be possible without a strong flash. If you are shooting from the audience, no flash is going to work. Typically, a flash needs to be within 10-15 ft of the subject to work.

The sports preset or stop action preset will give you the best shutter speed IF THERE IS ENOUGH LIGHT!

Good Luck.
