Circular and Linear polarisers.
Used to reduce/eliminate the reflections from non metallic objects, eg the reflection on glass or from water, so you can see through the water / glass. Can also deeper the blue of the sky etc. Linear are cheaper and can be used on point and shoots but not dslrs, circular can be used on P&Ss plus dlsrs. |

Take some shots with the filter. If the auto focus works properly and the exposure looks good, don't worry about it. If you get poor results with either, exchange the linear polariser for a circular one and pay the higher price.

Perhaps instead of the term"point and shoot" I could say "digicam" So we thereforewehave dslrs vs every otherstyle of digital camera (digicam) ranging from the most basic, no manual controls point and shoot to thefull of manual controls superzooms and bridge cameras. |
