Default Cut MTS on Mac

I have Canon HF S10 for HD video recording. There is onbard cutting function in the LCD screen, but the Imagepixel does not work on my iMac. Any suggestion about how to split AVCHD files (mts) into two parts yet have them remain in the native format? iMovie would convert the files into quicktime, but not the native format.

You want to cut the .mts files and save them unchanged in quality. Then are many software in the market worked on windows like tsMuxeR, tsSplitter and tsRemux for cutting and merging my sony mts files, but for mac, there are rare. From other forum, i found some one recommended a tool named Final Mate for Mac, which is said to cut big mts file into small parts without recoding. You can have a try.
