Does anybody know what the expected shutter life of the d2h is? I've searched everywhere but cant find anything....

From its name I take a stab at 2then the springs sprong and the focusing squirrel falls out :blah:

More likely for a PRO body somewhere in the 150,000-250,000 range. But that is just a guess until someone finds the real docs.

Most Pro bodies are around where PeterP guessed.
Since I bet you checked where I would (the manual, a review on Steves's and on dpreview) I doubt I could find it any better than you.

A google search turned up 150K, but that wasn't in a review but in a regular posting on

Thanks guys.
Heres Nikon's resonce:

Hi Brad,

Thanks for your inquiry. Nikon does not publish the shutter life for any of our cameras. This falls under the umbrella of proprietary information, though Nikon does recommend the camera be inspected by the original retailer or Nikon service representative once every one to two years, and that it be serviced once every three to five years (more frequently if it's being used in a professional capacity). If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-800-645-6689 (Option 1). We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Thanks for choosing Nikon.
