Date Imprint on Images

I recently bought an F601z after reading positive reviews over it. however i realised that the camera does not allow me to have dates imprinted on the images. what should i do to have dates printed on my images? are there any software available to allow me to do so?

can anyone enlighten me?

Most digital cameras don't do that.

What you need to do is do it in a photo program that has the ability to add text to a photo, and just type it in.

A sidenote, most digital cameras store the date in the picture in two ways, one is the file information. The other way is in the Exif info which is stored in the picture itself...in the Exif you'll find other information as well like what settings the camera used to take the picture...as long as the picture is unedited, or edited with a program that is Exif friendly. For information about Exif, do a search as there are already many messages on the subject.

My camera does....

The Minolta D7i allows you to print the date on the photo, I don't like the way it looks but you can do it.

Easy Peasy. Go here it's free, select the watermark feature. This baby allows you to select & print any of the Exif data fields. So what you get burned on print is the actual date/time of shot. Have fun, this is so useful:

Great suggestion Voxmagna...I have that program myself but never looked into that feature...will suggest it in future. ;)
