Yep.. I'm still waiting on the $599 product from Silicon Film with a full frame sensor in it that works with most cameras. Here's a thread that was started in 2002 about it (and it was known as E-Film before that, and it never made it to market either).

I'm keeping my medium format, film Mamiya system (three lenses) in the faint hope that sometime, somewhere, for reasonable money there will be something similar (digital conversion) to equip the old Mamiya body.

I know the likelihood of that happening is not something to bet the farm on....but....

There are digital backs for Mamiya MF cameras, both the 645 and the RZ. Not in my price range, of course, but you could always sell that farm you were going to bet.

My Mamiya is the old style, medium format Twin Lens Reflex. I bought it new in the mid 80's and I really enjoy using it and the 55 mm wide angle, 80 normal and 180 telephoto.

Alas i don't think there is a digital back for the TLR. Wouldn't mind having an RZ 67 though.

I think if I won the lottery I might look at either a new Mamiya or Pentax digital medium format.

120 and 220 film will probably be around for quite some time, though finding places to process it might get tough.

The meter on my Yashica MAT-124G stopped working a long time ago, so I've given up on film. My Nikon S sure is pretty, though.

The universal concept disappeared and was to be camera specific, Nikon was to be the first released version.

IIRC every film camera I've owned goes up to at least 40.

I also have a Yashica-MAT 124G, one of the last I think. The meter works, but I generally have used one of my two hand held Sekonic light meters for readings and settings.

I would love to have an old Nikon S. Great camera.

As you may of guessed I like old cameras. Still have my old Leica 11f Rangefinder and Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta B. The Leica works well, the Ikonta...works but it needs some work.
