I hope this is the right place to post this as I am not asking which camera to buy.

I would like the help of the knowledgeable people here. I have been using my DSLR a canon rebel for over a year now and enjoy it very much However.

On my DSLR I can choose one auto focus sensor of 7 or allof them.
No in-between.
I would like to know if any current DSLR's let you chose more then one but less then all of their AF sensors.

I would like to select left most sensor, the middle sensor, and the right most sensor.
Or any combination.

Can any current DSLR Allow you this control?

Thanks For any input.

Yes, some do. But they are very expensive.

The Canon 1D MkII lets you choose the middle 7 (I believe) and it also can do something else in focus-trackign mode. It lets you choose a middle set and if your subject leaves the middle it expands to use a larger set of AF points to keep focus.

I know of no consumer grade cameras (D100, D70, 20D, 10D, DRebel...) that can do anything other than all or one.

The Nikon D70 and D100 are both one or all.
