Any recommendations on a software package that will allow me to burn good hi-res slideshow photo images to view on any dvd player on tv? I don't want to use the old vcd format since it's not good quality. I've tried several types in the past that used vcd software that i was not happy with the quality. I've tried Ulead and NTI but I'm not impressed at all.

Are you looking for and editor and authoring program? PC or Mac?
Mac would be iDVD, or better yet DVD Studio Pro. PC I have several programs I have used, but just bought the Adobe Encore DVD. It is fairly users friendly (read as "easy") and has very good quality. I used Spruce, but they were bought by Apple and don't have product support anymore. |

Hands down........I have tried many and MemoriesOnTV (formerly Picture to TV)is the coolest. It allows you to use the Ken Burns effect to really make your project look professional (pan in and out). It also will burn SVCD's and DVD"s if you have the MPEG2 plugin.
Here is the link....... http://www.picturetotv.com/index.htm? and here is a how to guide http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/175186.php trust me, it is really cool and one of the best around |

I downloaded the trial version and love it. The motion effects are really, very cool. It truly adds motion to your still presentation. Very, very nice with no hassle.
I like it because you can record in vcd, svcd and dvd formats and they explain the differences in resolution, etc. many of the other software packages can't really do that. I recently got a dvd burner and the software that came with it really sucks for creating good quality slide shows. Most of the dvd software out there is for duping dvd's only and does not even address the hi-res photo applications. The best part is that it burns the hi-res images at the end of the dvd so you can view or print whatever. This looks like a very nice start, indeed. Thanks for your help. |
