~I'm not that familiar with METADATA, butI have an idea of what I can do with it. Somehow there is a way that I can attach my name/copyright to the exif information under 'owners name' so that every RAW file I shoot hasmy nameattached to it. Do any of you have an idea of what I'm talking about or how to do it. Thanks!~

What editor do you use?
Adobe Bridge (that comes with photoshop) can edit EXIF data and put that exact info into the image. EXIFER, a program that does nothing other that view/edit exif data can also do it. EXIFER is free. Eric |

Its even easier than that, There's a program on the cd with your canon, that can upload your name to the camera. If you have done that, it will be automatically added to the raw file.
I only can't tell you the name of the program, i don't have the cd at hand. |

You'll want program which can save IPTC data which is standard for saving lot of data to image file itself, it can contain description of file, keywords, photographers data, location and such.
XMP would be newer format developed and backed by Adobe but it isn't wide spread. And better cataloging programs can read IPTC datas and use them directly in program's database. |
