Hi All,

I would like to buy some Neutral Density filters, as advised in this topic: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=54

I am not sure which brand is the best?

Hoya (double coated)
Kenko: Pro 1D (multi coating)

I am looking for average to high quality.

Can anyone tell me what to look out for in a filter?

Cokin and B+W are top quality filters. Cokin filters are square and require an adapter for mounting on a conventional lens. B+W uses the conventional threaded filter rings.

Hoya and Kenko are the same brand.

B+W makes top quality filters. I am currently using a tiffen UV filter and a B+W circular polerizer (?? spelling) and the B+W is top notch. I the C.P. to shoot water rescue and water rescue drills on a big lake and some rivers. Their is lot of sun reflection and the filter really helps me capture get shots. If my UV filter every gets damaged I am going to get a B+W one.
