ok guys i got the sony f 828.. aperture only goes to f8, what settings should I use to get the fireworks wednesday night? I have the shutter release, and the tripod, what other advise should I try... thanks for your time

You seem to have the settings pretty much sorted so what you might want to think about now is location and framing.

Which area will provide you with the most appealing foregound and background to have the fireworks displayed against? I was photographing fireworks a couple of days ago (it was a small display) but I got much better results at wide-angle then by zooming in on the bursts.

Another thing to do is to leave your framing loose, you don't want half the firwork exploding somewhere off to the right or left of frame! You can always crop in later to get the burst full-frame.
