Forums Changing this weekend
The Forums will be offline sometime tomorrow as we change over to new forum software. We hope it will be smooth but you never know. Please bear with us during the changeover.

cool, what kind of changes will there be with the new software, if any

Basically EVERYTHING is changed ;)

But hopefully it has been changed for the better. You'll find all kinds of new cool things in the message editor. We'll be adding more emoticons later... You can also upload a custom avatar or use one of the many that are in the built-in gallery ...have fun.

Before asking how-to do something, please click the HELP button at the top of the page, many things are explained there. If in doubt just try something, you won't break anything :)

I applaud any and all progress with regards to the development of this site, but I have a suggestion. The WowBB software looks good--this is the first time I've seen it--but I'd rather see it using a skin/template that matches the web site's dark layout.

Wow, this looks very nice ... different fonts, color choices, .... cool .... spell check. Very nice and I'm sure I've only seen a portion. Love the color choice you decided on too! Very easy on the eyes

The color schemes will be changing for a while yet so don't get too comfortable with it. It takes a lot of diddling with all sorts of code to get it right so expect to keep seeing it change for a while yet. We're working on it folks !!!!!!!!!

Is there any chance of gettingbetter a forum search engine (like the old forum software)? So far (unless I'm doing something wrong), the search feature is pretty useless at locating old forum posts based on searching for keywords within the old posts.

I'm starting to miss the direct-jump navigation feature ( the drop down list of forums that lived at the bottom of each forum page allowing one to go directly to another forum).

Will this feature be added back in, or will must we always go back to the top-level forum (Home button) to move to another forum?
