Help help. I just purchased a Canon S200 and under medium - low light photos exhibit a "horizontal grain" pattern. It is most noticeable on dark colours such as black, dark green, brown, etc.
My camera defective? Cuz I look at other similar sample picture and they don't have such patterns. Attached are some sample. No colour adjustments were made. Magnified. Exposure time: 0.1 F: 2.8 Shutter: .100656s Apeture: 2.97086 Focal Length: 5.40625 Exposure time: 0.125 F: 2.8 Shutter: 1/8 s Apeture: 2.97086 Focal Length: 5.40625 Exposure time: 0.016667 F: 2.8 Shutter: 0.016674 s Apeture: 2.97086 Focal Length: 5.40625 |

Also, my LCD screen has "graph paper" (mm spacing) patterns with 5mm margin to the left.
Where the line shows will results darker. Don't know if you understand but say you look at a scene on the lcd....over on top, there will be like a "graph paper" like transparent layer on top. ![]() And to add, there's a dead pixel on the LCD. Seriously, I have NO LUCK with purchasing digital cameras. Bought DimageX two times, both times there's something wrong with camera. So I try Canon....and something like this is happening. |
