Just purchased the 21 inch viewsonic G220fb monitor. When I connected it to the computer and installed everthing and adjusted the monitor setting in windows control panel to the maximum setting 2048x1536, the icons and letters are very small and difficult for me to see. Also the right hand of the screen has a black bar, or the image on the screen is shifted to the left leaving a blank black unused space. I want to use the entire screen. Should I change the monitor setting in the control panel. Any suggestions.....Please!!
Thanks, Steve |

You need to break out the documentation that came with your monitor. It should have an on screen menu system to adjust the position of the image. (left, right, up, down, expand, converge and a bunch of others) This will help you use the full monitor size. As for the icons being small, well, yes they will be at 2048 x 1536. If you want them larger you'll need to change that setting. I'm usign a 21" CRT and use 1280 x 1024.

Yes 1280x1024 is a huge improvement for my old eyes.
Thanks! |
