I just realized the new Fuji 5100 i ordered from Butterfly Photo has a dead or stuck pixel. :!: Always shows hot, even in record mode it shows up on theLCD.One bright pixel.even at 1/2000sec. it shows up in images as well, on camera and off.

Butterfly is closed today but thier website says exchanges incur 10% fee.

Has anyone had experience with returns to manufacturer. I am expecting to fly to asia for a long trip within 10 daysor a couple of weeks from today.

p.s. as a bonus incentive reward for reading, if you need xd cards, go to outpost.com 512mb olympus by lexar are $79

Check to see if your camera has a pixel mapping feature to map out the problem pixel. Many manufacturers don't consider less than 10 a problem. Just like hard drives, any bad areas are mapped out.
