HELP....What's wrong with this camera ???

Hi All,
The picture below was taken by my friend using his Fujifilm Finepix 6900 camera.
The picture shows a lot of horizontal streaks,
What could be the reason for the problem and could it be rectified?
Thanks in advance
ak

I 'm not familiar with this camera But It might be your ISO setting is to high, or you are to close to the subject and it shot without being in focus, dunno for sure.

I forgot is this right out of the camera? or did you enlarge it on a program on the computer. If you did you went to far enlarging.

I would agree that this is rather weird.

Could you tell us the settings the picture was taked at? ISO, fstop, shutter speed, focal length will all help.

It could be digital noise (which seems to be what cowboy43 is leaning towards) but if it is, its a really odd pattern. I'm not saying it isn't, I've just never seen noise like that before.

I don't think it's noise..... :(

May be the CCD needs to be remapped.

Sorry.....

Is the lens clean? Could be a heavy finger print on the glass? Probably not, but worth a shot.
