Thanks for the heads-up!
Can you get a decent deal on accessories at the show? I'd like a bigger camera bag and a polarizing filter. But I'm cheap! ![]() Craig |

If you go around back of the International Centre you will find 3 guys selling camera equipment out of the back of their car. Prices are great but just dont bother to register with the local authorities.

Now I'm back on a PC, I can add a bit more info. What I enjoyed the most was the access to all kinds of cameras with knowledgeable tech support right there. I plan to hit the Sony booth first (cause I have one) and then look at the new Nikon D7000. I'm not one to bring my own gear in, but if you are, there'll be an area where you can take pictures of women posing. In the spring they sat on motorcycles too.
Food is expensive so bring a small snack if you have to eat. In the Henry's zone there'll be lots of bags. One nice thing is there'll also be lots of photographers poking thru the merchandise so asking opinions is easy. They all want to talk. And altho the prices are not a steal (like out back haha), they are as good as you'll see on sale. |

Id agree with Frank on the prices. If you are in the market for some camera equipment, buying it at the show will be as good as buying it anywhere else on sale. I hope to see some of you guys out back.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I wouldn't go if I had to pay the $20 admittance fee but with the free pass, it looks interesting. I may even sit through one or more of the seminars.
You know, camera bags have to be the worst rip off in the field. You can get a kid's lunch bag for $10 that has basically the same construction as an $80 camera bag. But I'm going to hurry past the guys in the back parking lot with my eyes averted! ![]() Craig |

Well Craig, as you hurry past, at least wave and I will toss you a banana.
