Jürgen Eidt, not Joachim Eidt! (We don't have a 'Joachim' in our family tree.)
And yes, the link provides you with the most recent tools dealing with this. For the second one in the list, do a right click on the preview and select "Remove picture data" to make a standard JFIF out of your picture (no EXIF anymore). Or using the picture data you can store and restore the data. :-) |

To save downloading anything why not just copy it in your paint program and past as a new image?
It might be quicker for one offs, especially if you are editing them in Photoshop anyway. |

Saiko, I think when Alan T is saying 'Image editors' forum, yes he means here,
http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/view_forum.php?id=31 It's listed under Software, Editors(Photoshop, etc.) But if you just click the link he provided, it'll take you to the site he suggests. Regards. Stevekin. |

I guess, it is a good thought to selectively remove EXIF in some cases when publishing photos online. For that, you may use the well-known EXIF tool by Phil Harvey. And I personally prefer this batch EXIF remover, because with its help there is no need to deal with a command line. BTW, it also detects & deletes other types of metadata such as XMP, IPTC, etc.
