Default "How to take good digital photos" ?

:P

I want to improve my digital photography skills via reading rather then attending a professional course . So after experimenting with my camera for 5 months I am looking for literature (or websites) to teach me what to look for ( and of course how to use the manual features) in taking those great shots.

Is this wishfull thinking or is the consensus to attend a course. :?:

Steve, maybe a book review forum could be started ??

Check out http://www.photocourse.com/ It's a free online "book" that covers all the basics including manual features.

But it's best to get hands-on training...I've been using a fully manual SLR for almost 20 years, and I'm thinking of taking a course to improve my picture taking.

Default Web based class

These are web based instructor led classes that I stumbled across. I can't comment on how good they are - I haven't taken them, but if you want a classroom type setting with an instructor they have that. They are about $200 each for a 12-week session.
