I sent myself a test private message. It came through just fine and I deleted it. That was yesterday. However, the system is still reporting "You have 1 new message". If I go to the PM screen, it shows no messages waiting.

I guess we're all having the same problem, which means it'll probably be fixed fairly soon.

Have you tried clearing your cache? If you're using IE hold down CTRL and press F5.

I'm not saying that will work you understand. ;)

I've tried everything except deleting my cutelittle cookie. The reason I haven't donethis is that I fear having to renew all my settings. If I could be assured of this not happening,I'd try it.

Again, I'm sure it'll all get worked out.

I doubt you'll have to renew your settings, that information should be stored by the forum. If you have auto-log-in then you will lose that, but no biggy.
I have no guarantee on this, but I'd also doubt it would make any different to the message text as well. Again, that should be board side not browser.
I've never seen this type of board before though.

i frequently delete all cookies in my pc for security reasons. no saved settings are getting lost, the only think is you ll have to log in again.
