I am serious, stop smiling.

For a photographer beginner like me, any tip to find starting but serious and still cheap models ? Art schools, anything else ? I heard about exchanging good pictures for a model's book in exchange for modeling hours.

I have been successful recently making pics of a 1 year old kid of a friend, and I am now having friends of this friend but not necessary with the glamour that I am looking for. :O

I would appreciate any candid tip

Vladimir Horowitz, a world renowned concert pianist, was walking with a colleaguealong the streets of Manhattan.

A young man, not recognizing the pair, approached them seeking directions. He asked "How do I get to Carnegie Hall?"

Vladimir Horowitz immediately replied "Practice. Practice. Practice."

The young man wandered away, bewildered by the response.

That is the origin of that particular truism.

I hope you won't be as bewildered as that young man when I say "Practice. Practice. Practice."

You could start by letting your friends know what you are trying to do and that you would do school yearbook pictures for their high school age children as well. Some of them might want to get into a career as models.

You could also advertise at local colleges, or get to know an instructor in a fine arts program who could help you out.
