Default I need advice.

I need advice. I own a Canon PowerShot S300. At the end of a party, I had my camera in my padded case at my side. It slipped from my fingers and dropped about 2.5 feet onto a carpeted floor. Didn't think much of it till I tried to review the pictures in the hotel room. The spare battery and media card in the case took the force of the fall and transmitted the energy to the view screen, cracking it. I sent it to Canon, the charge to repair will be $164.00 including tax and shipping. My question, should I repair this loyal camera, or put the funds towards a new camera? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The best price I found for this camera is around $400. The repair cost is 40% of the purchase price and if you reallly like the camera then get it repaired.
