Anyone have bought Adorama's "telematic" hood before? They are supposed to be adjustable for a range up to 200mm lens... I am trying to get hoods for 28-135mm(72mm) and 70-210mm f4(55 mm). And those seems to be an interesting alternative due to their adjustability.

Never tried one. But, Fotodiox makes a three-section rubber hood that is patterned after the Hama hood. It is designed to handle 24mm (in 35mm terms) to telephoto. They don't specify what they mean by "telephoto" but you can check it out on ebay. They list the viewing angles covered by each hood position. I have one and it's well-made, and costs around twelve bucks including postage.

Kind of a long link, but you might like this.
