I am having a hard time trying to locate an HONEST dealer to buy. There are , as I found out many bad ones out there. I would like a few good suggestions from you. I see B&H is so far my first choice.

B&H is excellent. I have also had uniformly good luck with Adorama.

Yes, http://www.bhphotovideo.com is very reputable. If the price is close, I'd go with them.

One of the lowest priced (reputable) vendors for the camera bodies (depending on manufacturer) is sometimes http://www.beachcamera.com

They're also known as http://www.buydig.com

If someone's price is much lower than these two, it's more likely a scammer with a nice looking web site.

Always check any vendor you consider using http://www.resellerratings.com

They do a bit better job keeping out fake reviews compared to most of the similar ratings sites (it's not uncommon for the better known scammers to try and "stuff the ballot box" with glowing reviews on some of the ratings sites).

I have purchased from Cameta Camera and Adarama with never a problem.

BUT

Still, B&H is probably the best because they almostalways have everything they advertise in stock ready to send out. If they are out of stock on an itemthey will inform you right away and not charge your card until ready to ship. That will give you a chance to cancel and find the item from another store. A very good store to deal with.

I agree with the comments about B&H, Beach and BuyDig (sister stores). Over the years have bought from all three, with no complaints. Reasonable prices and good service from all.

The only time I do not use them now is for memory cards and I get those from newegg.com since they always seem to be cheaper. Never had an issue with either supplier in 5 years of buying digital gear. The only other item I purchased was my camera bag a lowpro bag and I got that through Amazon.com

I had some problems a while back trying to get a DVD burner for my desktop and then my old Dell laptop. I got taken and learned the hard way. Never Again I HOPE
