Please excuse my ignorance, (I have never used a forum before) what is the purpose of "mana" in forums.

Thanks in advance.

i'm not sure if it is working correctly...but it is something you give to the people that you respect......not really sure wat it does...i've added to peoples "mana" but it doesn't say that i have in their profiles....

it's a way that the admin can see the most respected users i think

When you click on a member name, a drop box will appear where you can see the member profile, send a private message... and finally add a "Mana".

I accidentally gave a newbie mana (I was sliding up to look at the profile). How do I remove it?

That is a strange feature. I assumed this topic was about magic, as I have come across this term as energy for spells in video games. Thus I was mildly perplexed.

You must have to be some kind of high mucky-muck to give out mana...

Everytime I look at the menu (which BTW only works in IE, us
FireFox users don't get that menu at all) it's grayed out.

If you can't see it when given, can't give it, and no one
knows (even the moderators) what it does.....
back to the original question ... Why is it there???
