Having just worked with hundreds of my old photos from the late 60's and 70's, I am seeing dramatic differences in how the pictures held up through the years. I can't tell the pattern, though...whether it was certain film, or certain media. My question is for "the here and now." When I print photos today, would it be better to use glossy or matte, in terms of how they will hold up through the years? I was told at one time that glossy would last better through the years, but that was one opinion, and I really don't know if it was valid.
