Hey everyone. I'm hoping you can answer this for me quickly!

I'll be heading up to the Australian Open shortly, and I need some advice on which mode I should use for taking photos. I will be fairly far from the action, so I will be using the full 10x optical for the most part. Keep in mind that I can't use the flash either.

I think that the natural light mode will come out blurry, so maybe my best bet is the anti-blur mode with the flash off?

Any other suggestions?

Or maybe I should just crank the ISO up to 400?

Austrialian open is outdoor, correct?

Assuming you are seating on a chair, and the matches is daytime, you shouldn't have any problem getting fast enough shutter speed, even at iso100.

If it's nightime, you may have to crank the iso up to 400-800.

For telephoto, use full zoom if possible because the aperture opens back up to f3.2, at mid-zoom the aperture close down to f3.5

Use spot metering, as well as turn on "high speed shooting" focusing, this will help get proper exposure and focusing.

Use the evf for framing shots, it helps minimize camera shake.

Don't be afraid to use the digital zoom in case 10x zoom is not adequate, you can still get very good shots up to 17x (it's a little before the half-way mark with the digital zoom indicator)

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to read your suggestions before the day. I did, however, capture some really nice shots. Even the night session photos came out very useable.
